BODRUM / Halikarnassos / Turkey

Bodrum located south-west of Turkey. Iti is a town that linked to Muğla city. It’s a tourism center with blue-white colored houses, maginificent  bay, delicious foods, windmills and 7/24 fulled night clubs.

At summer months it is crowded with tourists. Town’s name comes from St Petrus that is one of Jesus’s 12 apostles's St. Petrus (Also as known as Saint Simon/Peter/Kifas/Kepha) Bodrum’s  historica name is also known Petrium.

Herodotus, I. and II. Artemisia, Dionysius are famous persons from Bodrum.

Our advice to stay at bodrum for 5 day vacation.

Daily flights are transporting from Istanbul and there are some coach lines to access to Bodrum. Also you can access with your yacht. Nearest airport is named Milas-Bodrum Airport. By shuttle and buses you can access to Bodrum city center.

By joining daily ship tours (Blue Tour), you can swim magnificent bays or scuba diving. Also  you can surf at Gümbet. 

The bays that you should visit; Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük, Türkbükü, Torba, Gölköy, Güvercinlik, Turgutreis, Akyarlar, Aspat, Kadıkalesi, Görecik Island (Akvarioum) and Bitez.

At city center you can travel by minibuses named “dolmuş”. Taxi is expensive also you should make negotiation.

Because of Bodrum is top of the popular touristic places, for eating and drinking it is too expensive. Before sitting at the restourants  you should get benefit by learning prices and making negotiations. At restaurants you can taste Turkish kebabs, manti, meze, lahmacun and Turkish Raki (drink). Also you should taste Turkish coffee at Cafe’s.

-Karaada (Black Island; Thermal water go to the ground that is known healthly. Muck is healthy on dave)

-Myndos Gate (At Gümüşlük)
